There are many ways our bodies try to send us messages about how they’re doing. Most obviously, when our bodies need energy or hydration, we get hungry and thirsty. When we need to sleep, we yawn and our eyes start to burn. Those messages are pretty basic and easy to decipher. We’ve been receiving them all our lives.
Our brain send us messages through our nails as well but we oversee them due to the fact that we may not know what it means, therefore we are going to list in the following some of the messages and their meanings;
First, Splinter Hemorrhages; these small brown or red lines under the nail indicate a tiny ruptured blood vessel, which is not uncommon. However, if they appear under every nail, it could signal the presence of psoriasis, lupus, or even heart disease, according to the NHS.
Second, rooves (Beau’s Lines) these horizontal indentations across the nail appear after the nail has suffered an injury or illness. Beau’s lines are also associated a zinc deficiency, any condition with a high fever like the measles or mumps, or uncontrolled diabetes, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Third, yellow Or Discolored Nails, pay close attention to the color of your nails. Yellow can signal lung disease or accumulation of lymphatic fluids, white can signal cirrhosis of the liver, and exposure to various chemicals can turn the nails dark blue or gray, according to the Merck Manual.
