The size of the environmental disaster caused by more than 50 saws and dozens of bulldozers and excavators working in Janna – Nahr Ibrahim River region since a week, is still unknown.

Those responsible for the ongoing works are supposed to be informed of the governor of Mount Lebanon’s decision about the cessation of works, until making the final decision for the project in the Cabinet.

“Greenarea.me” website publishes the following photographs, which were shot by the photographer Lamis Hakeem. The photos reveal the natural and exceptional beauty of the sacred valley in Janna- Nahr Ibrahim River area. On the other hand, we publish other pictures we received, around the destruction of the whole region after cutting works.
