KATY Perry’s Twitter account was hacked, with a number of offensive tweets and a leaked song being shared with her 89 million followers.

The Firework singer, who is the most followed user on Twitter, has since deleted the profanity-laden tweets, which included a message to her rival Taylor Swift, saying “miss you baby”.

The pop stars are said to have a rocky relationship and Swift’s Bad Blood single is rumoured to be about their public feud.

Screengrabs of the now-removed tweets, some of which were homophobic and racist, were shared online in the hours following the security breach.

Perry has yet to acknowledge the intrusion, although no doubt her password has since been changed. She is the latest in a string of stars to have their social media accounts hijacked, including Swift, Lea Michele, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber.
