The following pictures are in Taanayel, a beautiful city in the heart of Bekaa. It rises at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level, and needs around 1 hour by car from Beirut. The distance from there is 48 km. Being in Taanayel farm and Taanayel lake is definitely a beautiful escape to nature.

The ّ”domaine de Taanayel” ad arcenciel are developing innovative and sustainable solutions to better manage energy and fight against global warming, so they installed a solar farm that includes 110 photovoltaic panels. The electricity produced benefits a center that offers services to Syrian refugees.

Once you enter the farm, you can buy a ticket to visit the lake, which we will talk about in detail in later articles. You see the cows, which dairy products are made from in that peaceful place.

Some horses welcome you once you enter the farm, and you can enjoy a serene walk or you can go biking through the forest, until you reach the lake, where ducks swim.

Flowers and different kinds of plants fill the place, and you will definitely want to go there again.

What I liked about the farm and lake, and the whole place in general, is that there are special containers for sorting wastes, and there are people monitoring the place, to keep it clean.
