Lebanese MP Michel Moussa said in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon – 93.3 radio station that “there is a tendency to discuss the issue of oil and gas in order to issue the required decrees.”
“This step is important at the national level,” he said.
“The oil wealth is threatened and we as Lebanese must rise up to the challenge and hurry to reach the desired result,” Moussa went on.
He pointed out that “international laws are capable of protecting the Lebanese facilities through exclusive maritime border identification,” noting that the United Nations has a significant role to play, along with the major countries.
“Lebanon will not remain silent about its rights. It will raise the voice at international forums if ever its rights were infringed,” he said.
