High temperatures are expected to persist across the country on Tuesday.

Residents can expect hazy skies and “hot to very hot” weather, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology said.

Temperatures along the western coast are likely to hit 46°C with a low of 26°C, with humidity increasing throughout the day. It will be even hotter in the interior, with highs of 48°C and lows of 24°C being forecast.

By afternoon, there could be some cloud cover over the eastern and southern parts of UAE, with a chance of mist by Wednesday morning.

Light to moderate winds are expected during the day, with relatively calm seas in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Similar conditions are expected to continue for the next 24 hours.
