A new weather front will cause strong winds to pick up over the next three days and should help blow away any remaining humidity around Qatar, according to local forecasters.

That means the wet blanket feeling you get when you walk outside will finally dissipate for a bit.

But in exchange, there will be swirling dust, low visibility and temperatures of up to 46C (115F) in Doha.

In a statement this week, the Qatar Meteorology Department (MET) said windspeeds could reach up to 35 knots (65 km/hour) in some areas and warned people to be careful, especially at sea.

Such conditions are expected to persist until at least Sunday.

July weather

Now that July is here, humidity will increase, though it should still be drier than August.

According to the MET, no significant rainfall is forecast this month and winds should finally start to die down, compared to June.

However, that also means the days will be even hotter:
