Residents will experience a further increase in temperatures today with high humidity set to continue over the weekend.

Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Thursday with light winds doing little to decrease temperatures which will range between 28°C and 43°C along the coast and peak at 47°C inland, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

Humidity remains high with a range of 65 to 95 per cent forecast across the weekend, leading to early morning mist.

AccuWeather estimates temperatures will ‘feel like’ up to 50°C on Friday and Saturday.

Those heading to the beach are advised to take precautions against high temperatures. Waters will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf but will turn rough in the Sea of Oman.
