It is true that Prime Minister Tamam Salam described his government with the most egregious and horrific descriptions, cutting the way against its harshest critics, but the greatest catastrophe is that Salam, and other officials did nothing to avoid the return of the scene of the accumulation of wastes in the streets, alleys, and villages within a short period.

As if the month of July of each year has become a month for the distribution of wastes between houses.

The government did not make any real or serious step to solve the waste crisis, or to work on the implementation of proposals to solve the crisis or prevent its recurrence. On the other hand, it wastes time, preparing for a bigger explosion.

If the huge catastrophe was not providing the conditions for waste treatment before land-filling, did the proposed and non-executable solutions solve for this dilemma?

If the space provided through the solution can handle a maximum amount of 500 tons of wastes, so what will be done with the remaining amount, which ranges between 2,500 and 2900 tons, how will this amount be landfilled? What is the estimated capacity?

The situation that lasted twenty years ended forever, but what’s new? Is there any vision or Plan that was made, after learning from the past mistakes, in order to improve the new improved conditions?

What happened so far since lifting the wastes from the streets is securing places to throw them, whether in Naameh or Costa Brava, without any horizon in repeating the tragedy escaping from finding spaces and sorting plants, which would have changed the nature and the quantity of the wastes landfilled in Naameh, if they existed.

The Costa Brava is now filled to the maximum, and the disaster is that the officials are preparing to permit increasing the storage level, which is seven meters, to much higher levels. Of course, all this is happening without caring about aviation safety and the possibility of post-treatment. It is ironic that the contractor, whose bidding was stripped off him two weeks ago, is still working, as if nothing has happened. He also confirms that he will not waste time because he is returning.

The Government, which is amazed at everything, its president and some ministers are still weeping over “Chinook” because they did not take the opportunity to listen to and read carefully that they have not made any step or bidding towards the solution, meaning a good or a bad solution, but instead, they just wasted time, and through it, they lost an opportunity. If the crisis returned, what will be done?

Talking about the CDR, and specifically the head of the CDR, has become a shame, knowing that its illegal extension does not summarize its reality and responsibility regarding this whole file and the continuous suspicion in dealing with it.

Prime Minister Tammam Salam,

Ministers,

Members of parliament,

Decision-Makers; politicians and others,

Do not be surprised tomorrow when the crisis explodes, and do not say that it’s due to the conspiracy theory, because it is due to your failure in dividing quotas between each other.

Irresponsibility and rudeness in dealing with public affairs has never before reached the level it did in the government of national “interest” and its boards.
