Man’s best friend has developed over the years a capacity that is already innate to communicate with us.
We did not know that goats, animals that have a lesser consideration, are so ready and able to convey their wishes as the dogs. This was discovered by a group of researchers from Queen Mary University of London, who have published their findings in the journal Biology Letters’.
For some, the goats were one of the first species to humans domesticated 10,000 years ago. Our ancestors did not think of turning them into pets, but rather with farmers or agriculturales purposes. However, the authors have found that they share more things than we thought with us than dogs.
Like dogs, goats are able to seek help from their owners, for example, when something is unattainable.
For their research, scientists taught some goats to remove the lid of a box to collect a prize. They did it perfectly, but the game was complicated sometimes when the contents of the container was unachievable.
As dogs normally do, goats then began to stare at humans for support.
