Member of Parliament, Michel Moussa, said on Monday that the delay of agreement over the oil dossier was caused by political disagreement by different sides of the Lebanese divide.

“We need more time to alleviate impediments and to reach a sort of an agreement over the oil dossier,” the lawmaker told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.

Moreover, Moussa made clear that Salam’s meticulousness discussing the oil dossier at the cabinet table had nothing to do with the discrepancy in opinion with Speaker of the House Nabih Berri.

“Salam seeks to ensure a clear majority to endorse oil-related decrees,” he added.
