With the start of the winter holidays, Saturday July 16, the Buenos Aires zoo could be visited with certain modifications to the conscious path of the institution.

In this new period, the zoo will receive only 2,000 visitors a day with tours conscious, unable to feed the animals and while working for the transformation and transfer to 1500 species most suitable wildlife habitats.

In what is now the Zoo “Interactive Ecoparque City , ” where exhibitanimals in captivity will be present with the aim of preserving and caring for the species.

Currently living in the institution 930 mammals, 113 reptiles and 430 birds they will be brought to natural sanctuaries or reserves around the country and the world.

In the future it is hoped to create a biodiversity corridor that integrates the future ecoparque with the Botanical Garden and the Tres de Febrero Park, and promote space as a meeting place where entrepreneurs and organizations to carry out projects related to conserve and protect animals.
