s another summer weekend rolls in, the weather will continue to scorch its way with highs of 49 degrees Celsius, coupled with humidity levels that will reach highs of 85 per cent.

Respite may come in parts of UAE, with towering clouds possibly bringing in a spell of rainfall across the southern parts of the country, similar to what Al Ain experienced earlier this week.

The UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has told residents to brace themselves for a hot to very hot day on Friday, adding the weather will be “hazy and partly cloudy at times over some areas, with a chance of towering clouds formation during the afternoon over the eastern mountains and southern areas.”

The NCMS further stated the moderate winds could be “freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand.”

The sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough at times in Oman Sea.

Expect the internal areas of UAE to feel the heat with the Mercury settling in at 49 degrees Celsius and humidity levels reaching 85 per cent.

On Saturday, the weather will conform to usual seasonal changes, with the NCMS calling it: “Hazy weather in general, and hot to very hot over most areas, partly cloudy at times over some areas, with a chance of towering clouds formation by afternoon times over the eastern and southern areas.

“Maybe some rainfall,” is also on the cards.

Moderate winds in general, freshening at times, especially towards the north could cause blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility over open areas, especially during the morning.

The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Oman Sea.
