The asset management arm of insurance group Swiss Life Holding AG (VTX:SLHN) has, together with Quercus Assets Selection Sarl, acquired about 7.3 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Italy.
The two ground-mounted PV power facilities, one of 6.5 MW and one of 770 kW capacity, are located in Italy’s Molise region. They were acquired by Azienda Solare Italiana SpA (ASI), previously known as Antin Solar Investments, which is owned equally by Quercus and Swiss Life Asset Managers. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Following the acquisition, ASI owns 11 plants with a combined capacity of 84.4 MW. Together they can produce some 140 GWh of electricity per year.
