Coloring animals’ hair is a common thing, especially before Easter vacation, when little chicks get colored. Now, it’s not about a chick, but a puppy, that suffered the dye, in order for a Pokemon Go fan to enjoy making him look like Pikachu.
The video has been going viral in the past few days. While some people found it funny, others said it was cruel. Tweets against this “harsh action” towards animals filled Twitter, and the video was being shared widely on Facebook.

How does animal dye affect animals?
- Hair dye is harmful to human, so imagine dying animals’ hair. They would get allergies, because their skin also may be more sensitive to the harsh chemicals, like ammonia or hydrogen peroxide, frequently found in human hair dyes.
- There is a potential for the dye get into the dog’s mouth, eyes, and ears, which can be harmful
- Some dogs experience allergic reactions to hair dye
- The dog may attempt to lick his coat during or even after the process, and possibly ingest some of the hair dye, which is toxic to both humans and animals. This could cause an emergency situation if the dog ingests hair dye, leading to nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and some other serious health issues.
Why don’t you enjoy how the dog looks like without trying to make him look like a cartoon character. You would spare him all the physical and psychological harm.
