Weather forecasters have warned drivers of poor visibility due to fog and mist in central and western areas of the country on Wednesday morning.
In general it will be hot and hazy at times during the day in some areas with highs of around 46°C along the coast and in internal areas.
“The afternoon will be partially cloudy with the chance of some convective cloud in the afternoon over the eastern and southern areas,” said forecasters at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology in Abu Dhabi.
“Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times over some areas.”
Relative humidity will increase over coastal and internal western areas to 85 and 75 per cent respectively.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea with winds being as high as 38kmh along the coast.
The hot and hazy weather will continue into the weekend with further risk of blowing dust and sand reducing visibility and the possibility of rain in eastern and southern areas.
