Listed below are 6 foods that cause inflammation and how to replace them with ingredients that are healthy instead of removing them.

1. Replace refined sugar by unpasteurized honey, organic maple syrup or fruit.

2. Replace your sodium table salt with sea salt or pink Himalayan salt. By eliminating prepared and packaged meals, you significantly reduce the amount of sodium you consume.

3. Replace wheat flour by almonds flour or coconut. You can either make them yourself or buy them in places that sell minimally processed products.

4. Some oils Substitute processed oils such as canola or sunflower oil with oils high in Omega 3 and 6. The best sources of omega 3 and 6 are the extra virgin coconut oil, extra-virgin olive oil, hemp seeds, chia seeds, avocados and avocado oil.

5. Dairy Substitute dairy cow milk made by dairy products made from goat’s milk or sheep. The molecules of dairy products made from goat or sheep milk is more easily digested by the human body. Also, cows are usually fed on genetically modified maize and soya, which creates inflammation in cows. This inflammation is found in dairy products.

6. Replace Alcohol by the still or sparkling water, tea or fresh juice. Alcohol is the most inflammatory and most toxic food to the body. Just after the year-end holiday season is the best time to decrease your intake.
