In the city of Frias, along with specialists and artisans and huerteras families, INTA carries out innovative experiences in green building.

Natural, or construction  green building , rescue ancestral practices of using natural materials for housing construction with technical innovations that tend to improve the quality of life for families who inhabit them .

In the  bioconstrucción  they are considered and used materials available in the area and climatic characteristics which serve to define the best building strategy based on raw land.

In the experiment carried forward in the city of Frias, Department Choya, in the Santiagueño West, more than 8 construction techniques were implemented with land, mainly adobe , in a process that provides the best alternative lighting protection sunshine and showers, air conditioning, distribution of spaces and styles and personal needs of each resident family.

Regarding the traditional ranch of our area important differences in height, wide open spaces, ventilation with wider windows, improved construction techniques ceilings and mainly in the terminations level of fine plaster that provide greater comfort are proposed and guarantee preventing the development of insects in the housing.

The possibility offered by this practice is empowerment in building our living space, with techniques and materials in harmony with the ambientey that allow sustainable use of space in the utilization of the available energy. It is estimated that bioconstructions are more economical and efficient than traditional buildings, providing, among other advantages in air conditioning of spaces.

In this experience, families of craftsmen and gardeners of the city of Frias, coordinated by Gabriel Martin, trashumante bioconstructor with over ten years of experience, began construction of the house of Patricia and Beto, and her little daughter Elunei. In a dynamic of learning by doing, developing stem cutting of adobes mass was performed, the walls were erected, building divisions quincha, direct molding walls, the installation of fixed panels and windows, ornamentation bottles of colored glass and fixed furniture.
