The United Instrument-Making Corporation, part of Russia’s hi-tech conglomerate Rostec, will roll out its latest innovation at the Army-2016 international military and technical forum – a system that can control a dozen robots simultaneously – the corporation’s spokesman told TASS today.
“The software and hardware system ensures control of ten combat units simultaneously along with transmitting data, including video, at a distance of several kilometers, while remaining invisible to enemy radio-electronic reconnaissance,” the spokesman said.
“The advantage of our product is that the signal spectrum does not exceed the noise level and actually vanishes, not being able to be detected by an enemy. Therefore, this type of channel enables covert activity,” he added.
This innovation can help control both unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and ground robots, the spokesman noted.
The Army-2016 international military and technical forum will be held in the Moscow Region’s Patriot Park from September 6 to 11. It was earlier reported that more than 1,000 enterprises and organizations would partake in the event, while four countries – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Pakistan – would feature national pavilions. Over 11,000 exhibits are slated to be on display at the exposition.
