Huawei Network Energy, a global leader in the photovoltaic (PV) industry, is showcasing its solar energy capabilities and Smart PV Solutions at Dubai Solar Show opening tomorrow (October 4) in the Emirate.
The event runs until October 6 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center. Organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), Dubai Solar Show is dedicated to bringing the latest solar innovations and showcasing the largest solar projects in region providing a unique platform for building partnerships between government and private sectors in pursuing innovative solutions. Huawei’s FusionSolar Smart PV inverters achieved global shipments of 10.5 GW in the year, thanks to its extensive investments in R&D. Huawei filed 100 patents in PV sector, 90 per cent are invention patents. During the exhibition, Huawei will be signing a contract with Phanes Group, an integrated solar energy developer and investment manager, to develop the PV market in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) with Huawei’s FusionSolar Smart PV Solution. The MEA market presents great potential for PV applications. Huawei solution represents the trends that PV power generation is getting more intelligent, seen in the PV industry in MEA and globally. Huawei’s smart PV solutions have been widely deployed in solar plants around the world. Huawei optimizes and innovates the entire process of the power plant construction and operations. With its designs that integrates digital information technology and with PV technology, Huawei helps solar power developers to optimize initial investments, reduce O&M costs, raise the energy yield, and therefore improves ROI. “Sustainable energy has become a focal point in many national development strategies as the world looks to the renewable energy sector to provide efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly solutions for today’s growing energy needs,” said Paul Pan, general manager of Huawei Smart PV MEA Business. “Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Huawei is bringing its global expertise in developing and deploying next generation smart PV solutions to support Dubai’s vision for clean, sustainable energy. We are committed to the UAE’s economic diversity strategies and growth.” Martin Haupts, CEO of Phanes Group, said, “After having successfully cooperated with Huawei on the Dominican Republic PV plant project, we are convinced that Huawei’s focus is on their customers. They continuously try to create benefits for them – that is why we consider Huawei as a trustworthy partner, and have teamed up with Huawei on the DP World project.” Huawei is introducing to the MEA markets its next-generation smart PV solution by incorporating 20-plus years of expertise in Internet and Communications Technologies (ICT) with PV technology. Based on innovative concepts of simple, full-digital and automatic global O&M, Huawei aims to build smarter solar plants supporting higher yields, make O&M easier, and brings higher safety and reliability, thus help customers maximize their ROI during the power plant life cycle.
