How to preserve and keep food and medicines fresh when one lives in a hot region without electricity?  Go Energy Less Solution is proposing an ecological and economic solution. The  desert refrigerator “Fresh’it” is inspired by old Moroccan techniques. It is an argile pot capable of conserving food for up two weeks, as well as medicines such as insulin.

It’s sufficient to water the sand placed between two pots between one and two times a day (according to climate), so that heat evaporates and is released, activating the cooling of the internal pot.

The system was launched in the rural territories of the region of Marrakech, and is designed for people who don’t have access to electricity, or a poor supply. It is also of interest to numerous NGOs and African and Asian associations.

Today, the demand is such that there are frequent interruptions in stock supplies.  A new production unit is being set up in Marrakech.  Fresh’It is present in the Green Zone, in the heart of the space dedicated to African SMEs.
