Today’s weather in Lebanon is cloudy with heavy rains, thunderstorms and strong winds (80 km/hr) especially at night, according to the Meteorology Department at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport.

The department added that sea waves would rise to about 3 meters, temperature would obviously drop and snow would fall over 1800 meters during day and over 1600 meters at night.

General Status: Low atmospheric pressure over Italy accompanied by cold air-masses gradually affects the Mediterranean Eastern Basin until Saturday.

-Temperature: On the coastline 22 degrees Celsius high to 11 degrees Celsius low

Over the mountainous ranges: 12 degrees Celsius high to 8 degrees Celsius low

In the Interior range: 16 degrees Celsius high to 5 degrees Celsius low

At Al-Arz : 7 degrees Celsius high to 1 degree Celsius low

– Surface wind: southern-western, gusting between 15 and 45 Km/hr intensified to reach 65km/hr.

– Visibility: Medium, worsens every now and then.

– Humidity on the coastline: between 54% and 80%.

– Sea : Agitated, Surface temperature 21 degrees Celsius.

– Atmospheric Pressure: 759 mm Hg

– Sunrise: 06:25 Sunset: 16:29
