Meteorologists expect wintery cold weather on Thursday along the north coast, in Cairo and in northern Upper Egypt.
The temperature are expected to be milder in southern Upper Egypt during daytime, turning to very cold at night. They could reach frost levels in central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.
Low- and medium- level clouds are expected to the north, as well as heavy rain along the North Coast and the northern Delta region.
Mist will affect visibility in the morning in Lower Egypt, Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, and north Upper Egypt. Wind will be mostly northwesterly moderate in strength. It will be active along the north coast and in the Mediterranean Sea, disrupting navigation.
Wave heights are expected to be between two to two and a half meters in the Mediterranean Sea, and between one and a half to two meters in the Red Sea, with northwesterly wind in both seas.
Maximum temperatures expected on Thursday: in Cairo, 16 degrees; Alexandria, 16 degrees; Sharm el-Sheikh, 24 degrees; Luxor, 21degrees; and Aswan, 22 degrees.
