Today, the Lebanese are living up to the expected US sanctions against their country, although some would call them sanctions against Hezbollah
Others go to the logic of taking advantage of the sanctions to bully others as if the sanctions, if imposed, will reach a Lebanese “group” and exclude others.

As long as it is still limited, the fantasies of some go to all directions accompanied by a very dangerous campaign of intimidation and preparation from the US and Israeli and even local groups breaking all taboos and spreading fear in most circles, and fear itself is the enemy of reason and insight and confrontation.

The Lebanese state, which acted long ago, had nothing to do with what was going on. At best, this issue was aimed at the shoulders of the Banque du Liban. Today, the government won’t act as usual. It is demanded to work based on a different style of thinking, action and courage. The first unusual action is to close the gaps, fortify the situation and consolidate the possibilities available and then direct the pressure.

The same applies to the components of the state, especially the forces that are the most related to the matter from the presidency of the Council of Representatives to the government to the Ministry of Finance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the friends of Lebanon, who are asked today to prove their true friendship because their interests with Lebanon are already clear.

As for the parties originally targeted, it is not acceptable for them not to be prepared throughout the last period and have studied all the laws and found the necessary gaps and they are accused of default before others and not like others.

The confrontation is national and not regional or sectarian or factional, but patriotic once again Lebanon in general is targeted and Lebanon in general is affected and not only a category in it.

The country is entering a new confrontation, while the axioms have not yet been resolved from the election law to the sensitive monetary situation to the creation of an economic-financial vision. This confrontation necessitates internal measures that will ease the financial and monetary situation so that the concerned parties can face up the issue instead of returning the following arrows from the back.
