He pointed out that the shift towards the green economy is “one of the most important options to meet the economic and environmental challenges facing the Kingdom, especially those related to the limited resources of energy and water as the demand for these resources grows.” To ensure the conservation of the environment and benefit the national economy and communities, by reducing the levels of poverty and unemployment, “pointing out that” this transformation has an important role in increasing green investment and open the Aq new Jordanian products, “explaining that the cabinet approved” the formation of a steering committee, and the establishment of a unit green economy within the organizational structure of the Ministry of the Environment. ”

“We are proud of the active partnership between the Institute and the Ministry,” said Per Bertilsson, deputy director of the Global Green Growth Institute and head of the Institute’s Planning and Implementation Division. “The Institute continues to support green growth programs in Jordan.” Ministry of Environment and the German delegate stressed the importance of cooperation between the Jordanian government and the German government, praising the importance of the national plan for green growth.

And he reviewed the green economy director of Jihad Alsoair, the plan and the stages that have passed through the components of the preparation. The representative of the “Global Green Growth Institute” in Jordan, Ahmed Mustafa Al-Omra, reviewed the role of the Institute in preparing the plan and future programs to be implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Environment.
