“Our meeting in the holy month of Ramadan is an annual event in which we are keen to thank the people of the press and media for their positive and constructive support for us and for the projects we are doing in the service of the community and our subscribers,” Al-Hayek said.
He added: “We highlight our most important stations since last breakfast, the most important of which is the 4G + project, which covers 95 percent of the Lebanese people and about 72 percent of Lebanon’s geographical area via 1128 transmission stations.
He talked about the consumption of data on the Alpha network, noting that it doubled for subscribers in the lines of payment from 500 megabytes per subscriber to 1 gigabyte per month, and reached the fixed line subscribers to 2.2 gigabytes a month, an increase of 36 percent compared to last year. 89% of Lebanese are buying a smart phone, compared to 85% last year, confirming that the investment we are making at the 4G + level comes with its many fruits, with 36% of Alpha subscribers buying 4G support phones, compared to 25% The last.
He pointed out that in a year we introduced 16 new services, all added to the fan services we offer, the most recent offer Alfa A + for university students. In October, we also lowered data prices to meet the needs and potential of our subscribers. In line with this expansion, we opened the Alfa Flagship Store at our new headquarters in Parallel Towers – Dekwana, a world-class store and invite everyone to visit it and preview the big fan of our services.
He pointed out that 75 percent of our subscribers, 1.5 million, are subscribers to the data service, a large percentage, while the social networking platforms receive 50 percent of the subscribers’ consumption of the data.
“At the human level, we are proud of the Alpha for Life program, which reflects the needs of our society and supports many associations that deal with the affairs of children with communication difficulties through permanent activities. I would like to thank and thank His Excellency the Minister for his participation in our recent event in cooperation with the Father Andoikh Deaf Society, a Japanese-style flower exhibition. At the same time, we open our doors every year for secondary school students to learn about how to work in the sector and the opportunities available to them. We are proud that women make up 41 percent of the Alpha family, but unfortunately, the technical section is still short of women’s cadres, so we call on girls to get involved in this area. At the same time, we are launching targeted technology competitions, most recently the Alpha and Ericsson Internet Contest, where we have seen a high degree of creativity among university students. We also launch awareness campaigns on traffic safety as part of our role as a responsible company, to guide drivers on sound driving rules, with associations such as Ken Hadi and the National Traffic Safety Council.
He added: In 2016, the combined population of the earth, amounting to about 7 billion and 400 million, consumed an initial resource equivalent to 1.6 times the resources the Earth can produce annually, such as energy, water, oil and gas. This figure will double if we complete the same pace, so that in 2030 we will reach a stage where the resources of the land will no longer suffice for its population. He continued: I came to this fact in order to emphasize that there is a link between the needs of the land and the problems we experience and technology. The new industrial revolution, namely the digital revolution, is the only salvation for the land and its population. We can preserve the primary resources through artificial intelligence, with the Internet or IoT monitoring everything that happens on the surface of the Earth to reduce waste. Natural resources, and here lies the role of primary technology in the control and preservation of our primary resources. This highlights the role of fifth generation G5 technology, which allows for this role. In this context, I am pleased to announce that in Alpha we will be the first to be in line with the fifth generation. We will be preparing the first 5G station in Lebanon on our network and we will celebrate its launch at the next breakfast, God willing, and this achievement will put us on the global map in the telecommunications sector.
He pointed out that the cellular sector is a leading sector in Lebanon, and provides happiness for people. Studies have shown that delays in storage delays or buffering adversely affect human health and increase heart rate. Thus transforming us from a cellular operator to a provider of happiness.
Hayek concluded with a video presentation of the Alpha 4 + campaign with Silvio Sheha, Youth Ambassador and Campaign Ambassador.

The Minister said that the telecommunications sector is providing all efforts and energy to promote it. There is a clear commitment to develop and progress to bring Lebanon back to the status it deserves. Lebanon is the first country in the region to introduce GSM technology,

In the past period led to the delay of this sector. He added: For example, the 4G service delayed the network 3 and a half years to prevent the transfer of Lebanon to the 4G and then to the 5G, which put us in front of the challenge of compensation for the missed development and modernization. But there is no fear as long as there are people who believe in Lebanon and the communications sector and develop it. In fact, we have been able, in five months, to make clear progress in the telecommunications sector. Living the media, he said that it is the successful media that is looking for the truth because the role of the media is to convey the truth to the people and the lighting On the facts, not the accusations and not the view of corrupt people who have disrupted the country for many years. And as the task of media illuminating the mistake, it is also the task of lighting the truth and tell the truth whatever it was, and then accept it, especially when it is abstract without goals or bias. He said: I came to public affairs from the private sector, and believe in the role of this sector in the development of Lebanon and the sector Communications in particular. But unfortunately, even the private sector, which the Ministry intended to be a partner in the telecommunications sector, attacked us when we gave a license to a company from this sector. He pointed out that the Ministry of Communications 3 arms, the cellular companies and the Ogero, and we will reach the dedication of competition between the two companies, Therefore, the idea of President Saad Hariri is to present the new package to the students of Lebanon, its promising future, so that they can benefit from it in their university research at a reasonable price. And their potential. He hoped that we would be able to achieve similar packages for other sectors. He pointed out that the telecommunications sector needs significant investments in developing it.
