Renowned Lebanese producer shows its portfolio of wines in London, Bristol, Birmingham and Glasgow as well as Vinexpo in Bordeaux, where critical wine industry issues are discussed.
London: Château Ksara, Lebanon’s leading winery, in partnership with its UK distributor Halgarten Druitt and Novum Wines was among 17 wineries from Italy, Greece, France, Cyprus, Croatia and Turkey taking their wines to trade professionals in London, Bristol Birmingham and Glasgow between June 12-15.
The aim of the initiative was to showcase the finest wines from an exciting and diverse region and Château Ksara, which has had a presence in the £11.6 billion ($15.1 billion) UK market since the early 90s, showed 15 wines: Blanc de L’Observatoire, Blanc de Blancs, Cuvée du Pape, Moscatel, Rosé de Ksara, Sunset, Gris de Gris, Cuvée de Printemps, Le Prieuré, Clos St Alphonse (carried by Marks and Spencer), Réserve du Couvent, Château, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cuvée du Troisième Millénaire and Le Souverain.
“This is an exciting opportunity to show our exciting portfolio to one of the most vibrant wine trades in the world,” said export manager Elie Mamaari. “At Château Ksara we produce 15 wines so we are a great position to offer the taste of Lebanon to both the off and on trades and multiple price points. This show also reinforces our strong relationship with Halgarten Druitt which has represented Château Ksara in the UK market since the early 90s and is one of the most historic names in the UK wine trade.”
“The UK consumer is very familiar with French and Italian wines but the Eastern Mediterranean, and Lebanon in particular, has been making wine long before anyone, so it is really great to see the UK trade getting more and more excited about these stunning wines,” Andrew Bewes, General Manager at Halgarten Druitt Novum commented.
It was then off to France where Château Ksara participated at Vinexpo 2017 in Bordeaux where again it showed its full range of wines to meet leading buyers and industry experts from 150 countries. Vinexpo is one of the wine industry’s most international forum, bringing together 2,300 exhibitors representing 30,000 brands from 40 producing nations
“Vinexpo is a regular and strategic feature in the Château Ksara calendar for International fairs since France is amongst our top three markets globally for export said ‘’ General Manager Château Ksara Dikran Ghazal.
According to the show’s organizers, this year’s fair aimed to address critical global issues from climate change, new technology available to the wine trade, the role of cork in wine aging, etc…
