When the government does not maintain nature and allows projects without an environmental impact study
When the House of Representatives does complete its duty in monitoring the ministerial decrees
When the municipalities do not organize local development projects, but real estate transactions
When the citizens do not preserve the ancestral land and sell it to the owners of “oil money”
When environmental laws are not applied

When all this happens, only the revolution remains
A Green Revolution to protect what remains of green forests, and green valleys
A Green Revolution to protect what is left of Lebanon’s mountain peaks which are capped with snow; our underground water source
A Green Revolution to protect the rest of the springs, rivers, and beaches
A Green Revolution to protect the black gold, meaning the fertile soil and the agricultural plains which ensure our food security
A Green revolution or the revolution of love for the homeland, is the basis of all revolutions

If we weren’t rebels, the only solution is for the consciences to rebel
and that the Lebanese judiciary to revolute
Along with the security forces to revolute
and that the Lebanese army to revolute

On the fifth of June of each year, the population of the planet Earth celebrates the World Environment Day
to recall that earth is our only common house
In order to reconsider the behaviors that negatively affect our common heritage
and to think about the next generations and their rights to live in environmental and food safety

It is a pity that celebrations spread all over schools, and environmental associations and clubs on this occasion
and that the decision-makers are away from this concern
Repent or Leave.
