The reporter of the Al-Mayadeen television cried, he cried and made us cry, transferring the plight of refugees at the Serbian – Hungarian borders, as we hear today many names in social networks as well as Arab and foreign satellite channels of what they call illegal immigration or refugees flocking to Europe or to the West in general.
Moreover, we have also seen the amount of great suffering experienced and endured by immigrants from walking tens of kilometers in addition to exposure to humiliation conducted by some journalists in Hungary, as well as the Macedonian and Serbian police, in addition to the sinking of ships at sea between Turkey and Greece and everyone is wondering, why is all this suffering, and why not secure permissible means of transport for the transfer of these refugees to country of asylum, by facilitating this operation as there are countries interested in hosting them and reduce their suffering off their shoulders. Here, I want to point out a phenomenon found in nature related to the social environment and food chains that is labeled predation.
Living organisms do not live as isolated individuals from each other, but each type of individuals are within a given organization, known by the name of “community”. Similarly, the community does not live isolated, but there are relationships among several communities. Indeed, the compilations of the different communities form a society. Thus, there is the plant society, animal society and vital or bio-society which includes both.
Noting that, the communities are in constant conflict in society, through the relationships that bind them; competition, cohabitation, parasitism, predation, and others. What interests us at this level is the subject of predation to answer the question: why refugees are not transferred in a decent way?
Predation: Like other relationships between the groups not only it is a form of energy transfer, since it represents a direct and complex interaction between two or more species where an organism feeds on another organism, regardless of its size.
To explain this relationship, we must say that the higher the proportion of the predatory group the lower is the other group’s proportion (the victims) to gradually reach a stage where the situation is reversed and an increase in numbers of victims’ groups will be followed by an increase in the size of the predatory group, and these increases or decreases lead to fluctuations in numbers of the two groups.
At the beginning of the spring buds start to bloom leaves and fruits appear after heavy rains of winter, so the producer appears in nature: plants that the herbivorous organisms start feeding on them such as the deer and other animals, while on the other hand, there is a group of carnivores such as lions, tigers, leopards etc… watching these herbivorous organisms as they’re growing getting bigger and filled with enough meat, because according to the law of the jungle these are the kings of the jungle. But in contrast, the remaining wolves and foxes wait until the kings reach satiety and since the process of predation requires suffering as a result of long running and escape from the predator as is the case with immigrants or refugees, whoever falls on the road or die at sea or on land … vulnerable victims, and he who resists withstands these conditions will to finally be safe.
The predator plays an important environmental role in the lives of prey, and it is considered an effective element in the natural selection of the group, by ridding the flock of vulnerable individuals and concentrating the good qualities in the herd to get to the individual which is able to survive.
Therefore the immigrant must suffer to arrive to the country of asylum, noting that the strongest are the ones who can pass all odds and difficulties, and who can accordingly be recruited. For great states need powerful human forces that withstood these difficulties during the asylum process and have the strong will to escape, and must never think that these states help for humanitarian reasons but each has its special interests in mind.
