Almost three weeks ago, the new-current version of Greenarea website was launched, after three months of the actual launching, which took place in late October of last year, the month, we wanted it to be a trial version, but at the same time, in front of the public, rather than being prepared in the office only. The experience included the multiple aspects of editing, along with several subjects, reaching the approved programming.
Today, our surprise is big and pleasant all at once. The extent of the concern towards the environment is bigger than we thought it is. So is the positive response, which is much better than we had planned for. This includes the two websites: the Arabic and English. The website, which will gradually publish the statistics from Google, without any interference, will show the extent of the interest in our website from the surrounding countries, and the foreign countries, where the United States of America’s viewers – after Lebanon – top the two websites, to be ranked in second place.
The involvement of specialists involved in the environment, along with the readers of the website and the possibility of its production, is the biggest success we can achieve, regarding both the website, or the environment and its multiple causes.
Since the first day we announced, and worked on the fact that the website is not only Lebanese, but Mediterranean and Arabic as well. Therefore, the Board of Trustees – which will be announced soon – consists of experts and activists from the Arab and surrounding countries and the topics of the website will be wider, starting this week, to reach the countries whose environmental issues were not tackled in our website yet.
