The complaint against Dr. Jihad A.S. was filed with the Lebanese Dental Association. The man is accused of violating “the minimal standards of sanitation” with regards to both the equipment used and the clinic where he practices. The health minister called for investigations into the case and urged the LDA to inform the ministry of measures that would be taken if violations were proven. The move comes one day after Abu Faour rescinded the work permit of a Lebanese Nurse. Late last month, Abu Faour announced the formation of a committee to investigate medical errors after a doctor was arrested for allegedly misdiagnosing a baby which led to a condition that required the amputation of her four limbs.
