In the context of the plan to develop and expand “greenarea.info” website, we have upon us a “bright addition” of whom deserves the label “the environmental philosopher in Lebanon”. He is the expert, activist, researcher, and colleague Habib Maalouf, whom we welcome as a deputy editor of the website and a supervisor of the issues highlighted in it.
Simultaneously with completing its media plan and enhancing the Arab and Mediterranean aspect, “greenarea.info” will soon establish a Center for environmental studies in Lebanon and the Mediterranean. This Center is probably the first in our region, especially that it will focus on monitoring, analyzing, discussing, researching, and presenting studies on environmental issues and problems, tackling at the same time the environment from the economic and developmental angle.
Our colleague Habib Maalouf will play a big role in this regard, along with the top experts, and experts from Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Morocco, who are the main reason for the high ranking which the website has reached since launching it.
It is also necessary to pay a tribute and thank our friend Paul Abi Rached, whom we cooperated with since the launching of “greenarea.info” as a consultant and as an environmental activist. We await the crystallization of a new formula for cooperation with him and with the environmental movement, which we respect.
“greenarea.info”, and its experts, writers, and collaborators in four languages, promises its readers to continue presenting the best, especially after the rating which the website has reached, locally and internationally. The joining of a colleague at the level of Habib Maalouf, is but a new milestone in this context.
