We received many phone calls from friends, political and economic figures, blaming us about our approach towards some of the environmental issues, mainly the “Janneh Dam”, outsourcing the assumed waste landfills, and what is related to them.
We would like to answer publicly, and through the same website, according to the same criteria.
There are no politics and no political criterion in this website; but only national principles which cannot be joked with.
Whatever political, intellectual or ideological thought the publisher, writer, or journalist had, the website’s policy is definitely environmental, and perhaps, the economic feasibility intervenes with the environmental standards for the project.
Despite the website’s young age, we realized that there are many friends, and foes, who have mutual standards; environment and science, according to criteria which were first set by experts and consultants, renowned for their integrity, knowledge, and experience, and their number is increasing at the website day after day.
We are convinced by scientific arguments, and we are not embarrassed to change our opinion if we were convinced by another. Of course, we do not fight any battle which for anyone’s benefit or interest. As the website’s experience until now reveals, we did not spare anyone who has violated the environment, or was a contributor in suspicious files under different excuses.
No one likes to believe that there is no hidden agenda. Today, we call on whoever is affected by our attack to see how we agreed with him/her in previous times, when there was a mutual vision of the waste file, and how the same stand would return in other files, as happened in “Bisri Dam”.
This is a clarification for the first and last time; the website is not neutral, nor average, and it does not accept being described as “colorless and odorless”. On the other hand, it is independent. It was, and will remain, in the heart of environmental events, and it will not comply to any friend or foe, knowing that we can express our opinion though various political or economic platforms.
