Some had believed that the famous tennis from the movie “Volver al Futuro” would be the most revolutionary in the world, but the Colombians Juan Sebastian Aranzazu, Stiven Betancourth and Juan Manuel Valencia have designed the prototype of an innovative and capable workforce to measure the pressure human steps can put.

Students in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Colombia ensure that this new electric tool stored in a capacitor device generates clean energy.

So far this year young people have faced trial and error, as they have needed to know different ways of applying the system to the shoes  to fit properly.

“Our model is still not effective enough to launch it on the market because of its fragility and inefficiency loading. However, the shoes “pizoeléctricos” have potential in the market”, these students state.

The project is still in the design phase and continues to seek merge functionality with aesthetics. Although other countries have already designed similar creations that produce two hours of battery charges for a cell , equivalent to an hour’s walk.
