COP 22 ceremony at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, currently being held in the Moroccan city of Marrakech, including a myriad of events and activities, not only on the environment and climate in their scientific and research approaches, but also including many aspects, cultural, economic, artistic, and initiatives that aim to promote sustainability concepts.

But what was different today are the athletes and their environmental event, in the main entrance leading to the conference halls, participants, visitors and citizens of Moroccan flying around a convoy of athletes leading the Bikes, who came from Spain to communicate their message to the two conferences in order to cope with climate change.

The trip came with a very significant message, especially when we learned of one of the participants who spoke to greenarea.info saying: “We came from the city of Seville in Spain”, and pointed out that “we’re not athletes, there are athletes among us certainly, but we are a group of environmentalists and climate scientists, engineers, doctors and workers in other sectors and represent civil society in Seville. ”

He said: “We wanted to turn our statement to the bosses and officials from the conference, but we knew in advance that the regular message does not have any effect, nor will it be heard, so we decided to do this trip, and we traveled 1,100 kilometers, and we started the tour since the first day of the beginning of the conference and we finally arrived today. ”

He pointed to one of the posts stating: “We did not expect such a reception, and this shows that the goal of our tour has been reached, and the media directly spotted our slogan that we offered on our clothes and our bikes to “Moving for climate now”.
