In his speech he has argued that cities “have to surrender sovereignty to nature, getting citizens get along with citizens”.

The new vehicle has a range of 250 kilometers on a single charge and can recharge 80 percent of the battery in 30 minutes, allowing it to meet the demand for mobility of this sector.

TAXI LOW EMISSIONS

The City Council has approved this year a grant of 279,000 euros for the purchase of taxis low (electric, hybrid and CNG) emissions and to purchase vehicles Eurotaxi / Ecotaxi.

In Madrid the fleet of taxis low – emission (electric, hybrid and gas) accounts for 35 percent of the current fleet, some 5,400vehicles .

Marco Toro has argued that the cars electrical assume means less pollution, less noise and lower costs for users pocket, namely 2,000 euros for an individual and 4,500 euros per year for a taxi driver. Compared with other vehicles avoids the emission of 2,250 kilos of CO2 and 0.75 kg NOx per year in cities.

This profit was 9.000 kg of CO2 / year and 3 kg of NOx per vehicle in the case of taxis as they have a mobility estimated much higher than the rest of private vehicles.
