A memorandum of cooperation was signed on Sunday between the Athens Macedonian News Agency (ANA) and the Environmental Awareness Park Antonis Tritsis in an effort to promote one of the most beautiful green spots in Athens.
“The aim of the Athens Macedonian News Agency is to come closer to the society and demonstrate its anxieties, its hopes and its demands,” its president Michalis Psilos said and added: “In this context, we signed an agreement with the management of the park in order to promote its activities in Greece and abroad. Our aim is to show that this park, the only green spot in the western Attica, can become a centre of culture for the entire Attica region.”
On his part, Ioannis Polyzos, who is responsible for the management of the park, said: “We will try to restore the park in order to render it a pilot area of environmental awareness and set an example for other parks to follow. I also thank the volunteers and the local community for their help and contribution which was priceless. Good ideas are not enough. Volunteerism is necessary.”
