Jumayl town, 100 km west of Tripoli, has hosted the first scientific conference on environment and sustainable development under the auspices of Al-Zawia University, Libyana Mobile Phone, the National Oil Corporation, Mellitah Oil & Gas Company and the Western Region Social Security Fund.
The conference aims to raise the awareness of citizens on the nexus between air quality and public health and the environmental safety.
The conference addressed minimizing the impact of air pollution and ways of dealing with it in the Western Sahel region.
