When we declared our intention to launch a website dedicated for the environmental causes, many friends commented that, people were not affected by the “wikileaks” or the hunger and the absence of the state, would they be affected by environmental issues and problems? This way of thinking – the writer of these lines included- was so close to the friends’, but we decided “let’s try”, because the politics, economy and community life has become captive to the divisions and religions and sectarianism, to the extent that the minimum common sense and logic has been lost, so, perhaps the environment can bring us closer together. The challenge we took, though it’s in its first months, points to a noticeable interest as well as a response, none of us expected what it reached today, either on the site or via social media related to the site, where our face book page friends reached 21000 in a record time, and with major interaction involved. (All statistics will be published later). However, it’s an open platform, with no red lines, and no limits except professional and credible limits, regardless of the political view or social or political party which is affected by our criticism. Hence, this is a warm and open invitation to environment lovers, to experts, to environmental activists, and to every citizen, who may find in himself the capability to shed light on any environmental issue or anything related to the environment in the broadest sense.
