The country’s history has never been through such a low level of management regarding the preparation of a tender or bids like the one witnessed today concerning the wastes problem.

There is no sane person who can believe that the tenders which are prepared in a random and unscientific manner, contradictory to the simplest and most basic conditions, will pass and that many ministers will preach a solution in the near future based on them.

This is sheer stupidity…

.. For an official to be convinced that the way for a solution will pass through scandalous violations and by the abolition of the role of the state and to devote the logic of quotas in its most retarded forms. And amid voluntarily ignoring all the contents of this subject from a technical point of view and in a way surpassing all legal customs.

What happened today as a postponement of the results of the financial bids (tender) due to negligence and haste, even in respect to the tender, shows clearly the complete incompetence of the officials responsible of this subject.

The country is suffering from a major crisis in terms of hygiene and waste treatment crisis, and so far no serious page has been opened in the book of the actual scientific and required solution; but buying time, while waiting for a miracle to fall from above!

The problem is that the person who started this whole thing thought he will fetch honey without any effort or fatigue. But the issue turned out to be more complex and difficult; that to talk is easier than to work and build, which are expensive, and isn’t similar to the stereotype established in the minds of everyone.

The person who started all this knew the size of the difficulties, but the problem is the absence of statesmen prepared to bear the results of the required measures, after they overbid themselves and their people over this subject.

In the year 2015, Lebanon can’t even find a serious solution for the wastes’ crisis… is it not the same regarding the electricity and water, the presidency, the government and the House of Representatives… and many other vital matters?

The odor is unpleasantly strong here, and the way it was produced is both humiliating and unsuccessful…Yes, it’s the same odor of the same politicians, but without fresheners!
